Position Title: Practice Administrator – Large Specialty 

Our client is seeking an experienced and collaborative Practice Administrator to lead a large, multi-location specialty practice with outpatient clinics across Metro Atlanta. This organization is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence. Salary for the position is $150,000.00

This role offers a Monday–Friday, in-office schedule (7:30 am – 4:30 pm or 8:00 am – 5:00 pm), competitive salary, excellent benefits, and an opportunity to grow alongside a supportive leadership team. Salary for the position is $150,000. 

Position Summary

The Practice Administrator will have comprehensive oversight of the practice's operations, finances, and strategic direction. This individual will collaborate with the Director of Revenue Cycle and Director of Operations and report to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, driving operational efficiency, financial performance, and organizational growth while maintaining a culture of cooperation and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Governance

  • Provide executive leadership for a team of over 80 employees in partnership with the Operations Director.
  • Serve as administrator for large Specialty practice and their centers, ensuring compliance, quality, and safety.
  • Reporting to the Executive Committee and help lead Board meetings by preparing agendas, facilitating discussion, and making decisions.
  • Act as one of the primary liaisons between partners, staff, and the Board to align priorities and resolve concerns.
  • Promote open, transparent communication across all levels of practice.
  • Address conflicts promptly and fairly to maintain a positive work environment.

Financial Oversight

  • Lead all financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with accountants on financial statements, compliance, and tax planning.
  • Oversee bookkeeping, payroll, and revenue cycle operations for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Work closely with the Director of Revenue Cycle Management to optimize billing, collections, and payer relationships.
  • Negotiate insurance payer contracts to maximize reimbursement and ensure compliance.
  • Manage cash flow and financial stability, including bank fund transfers.

Operations & Human Resources

  • Oversee HR functions including recruitment, retention, employee relations, and compliance with employment law.
  • Drive staff development, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Partner with the Director of Operations and Operations Manager to monitor key operational metrics and implement process improvements.
  • Enhance patient care delivery by optimizing workflows and resources.

Strategic & External Relations

  • Represent the organization in negotiations with payers, vendors, and healthcare partners.
  • Anticipate market and regulatory changes to keep the practice competitive and sustainable.
  • Remain available to respond to urgent business needs as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, or related field (master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in healthcare administration or related field.
  • Strong financial management skills with a proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems (EPIC or similar), Excel, report preparation, and understanding of QuickBooks.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
