Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills. This role requires creativity, analytical thinking, and effective problem-solving abilities to support control panel design efforts.

Requirements:

  • Provide electrical CAD design support for the Engineering Department for control cabinet projects
  • Transform initial concepts and rough sketches into fully detailed production ready submittal drawings
  • Lead efforts to standardize control panel designs and improve internal design processes and best practices
  • Design control panels and backplanes in accordance with BOM & UL 508A standards
  • Collaborate effectively within cross functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all deliverables within assigned responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive component library including component blocks, standard drawings, templates and other design assets
  • Skilled in electrical component selection (breakers, relays, terminals, wire types etc.) based on application requirements, load calculations and industry standards

MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in control panel design, layout and documentation
  • Proficient in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical; experience with other CAD platforms such as Zuken, EPLAN is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of UL508A standards and control panel compliance requirements
  • Strong ability to read, interpret and troubleshoot wiring diagrams, schematics and electrical diagrams

Education Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering of related field (or equivalent experience)
